I allready had 4 pullets about 17 weeks old a BO, a Wellie, and 2 NH. This morning I bought 3 more dom. pullets. The people I bought them from said they were about 12 weeks old. The older pullets are mean to the newbies. Should I have not done this?

pull the new pullets out, and keep them separate. Figure out a way to keep them in sight of each other - partition off the coop with chickenwire or something they can see through.

same thing with the run = keep them separate. After 3-6 weeks, during which time you have scattered treats on both sides of the chicken wire or fence so that they are feeding in close proximity to each other, but safely, you can probably integrate them.

When you integrate them, make sure there are multiple water and feed stations.

do a search here on adding new chickens, and you'll be an expert in no time.

AHHH! I forgot to mention "QUARANTINE!!!!" too late, but do a search on that - you risk your original flock by adding newcomers, even if they look healthy.

Thank you very much. I will try to figue out a way to separate them . I should have asked this question before I bought more chickens. I have an 8 x 20 ft. pen with 8 x 8 covered with sheet iron and dont really have any where else to put the newbies.
