AH O..Chick trying to crow

I went out to the garden this morning to feed my 10 one month old french black copper marans and others when one of the marans was on top of the coop...trying to CROW.. He got part of it out. Think I may be putting him and any other cockerels on craigslist pretty soon. I can't have roosters in the city here in Corpus Christi. I have four older (2 month) chicks. 2 australorps and 2 sex-linked goldens. Those little girls beg to be held and if I hold only 3 and try to leave the run..the one I didn't hold jumps up at me and wants attention too...Craziest thing I have seen.

My red sexlinks are 2 months old now. I know being sexlinks they are all pullets but I still listen hoping none crow.

Mine are 3 weeks old now and I keep watching for signs and listening to the sounds they make. We can't have roosters either, and will be so disappointed if one is a roo!

From stuff I have been reading, even hens have been known to crow on occasion...& some roos NEVER do crow.
