AHH! Scared me half to death. Where are my chickies?

I went in to shut my chickens door, and it was already shut.. They were not on the run roosts.. or in the coop. I started to hyperventilate and almost cried. I looked everywhere for them.. and you know where they were? In a bush! Poor babies. Locked outta there coop and just the 2 of them were roosting in a bush! So i had to carry the rooster first (he usually attacks me but didnt.. he let me grab him and then shelly my girl followed us into the coop (she was scared it was pitch black!) And then i picked her up and put her on the roost with them.. I think they were thankful to be back home!

Glad you got them and they were safe. I always tie my run gate open so the wind can't blow it shut and cut them off from their water, let alone their roosts. I imagine you'll be doing something similar.

Good lesson for a lot of people. Thanks.

Im actually rebuilding my whole run! Its really not predator proof at all! My dog goes in it and eats there bread scraps LOL! I will be getting a hook to hook it onto, but idk how it could have blown close, its made of wire?
