AHHHH, My 5 yr old lost his first tooth,

My 10 year old lost a tooth last night. He pulled it. He never would let me pull his teeth.
He's my baby, so we're almost out of baby teeth too!

My daughter is a month shy of 7 years old and that baby tooth is wiggley and still hanging on. I tried roping it with dental floss last night but she wasn't having any of that but I got a few yanks. She cries bloody murder when I brush her hair...she's so sensitive.

My mom said we are all "dental retards" meaning they all come in and fall out later then most. That's not very nice terminology but I understood what she meant.

My father passed away in 2000 and we were just going through a box of his and found a clear case with 3 of his molars that are gold capped. My dd liked them and asked if she could keep them. What the heck, go for it. She keeps it in her top drawer stash. Her kitten lost a tooth and she put it in there. Now she is under the impression when she losses a tooth she puts it under her pillow and when she wakes up the tooth will be "shiney."

I told her that's not how it worked but she's still under the impression she'll recieve something "shiney" under her pillow when she wakes up.

I am half tempted to go buy a gold paint pen and paint her tooth gold for the fun of it.

I had no idea that you could lose your teeth at 5 years of age. My boy is 5 and I'm really dreading the losing teeth thing. I hated losing teeth. I'm going to go and check his teeth now. You lose the bottems first, right? Or maybe its the tops.

LOL!!! My stepson used to pull his own as soon as he found a tooth to be the slightest bit loose. He always lost them during the summer when he was with his dad and I. Finally after about 7 or 8 teeth his mother threatened to pull every tooth in his mouth if he lost one more while with us.. The poor kid came with a loose tooth and wouldnt eat anything remotely hard because all he could think of was his mother pulling his teeth.. Kids can loose them at all ages. I asked the dentist when we were there a few months ago when he came out and said they were loose and the dentist said that was normal. I just wish he would have told me the tooth was so loose.. I dont even want to think about what my daughter is going to be like when hers get loose and start falling out.

The other day she had a mini meltdown when I told her she had a gray hair.

Yeah.. she's gonna be a fun one. Fight growing older kiddo FIGHT it.

My 6yo pulled out her own (not quite ready) front top tooth last night. (she's lost bottom ones already) In the past she has cried and sobbed and had a fit when one was ready to come out.. it scared her. She's been having me check it ever couple of days.. and I tried pulling it yesterday morning, it wasn't budging.. jsut was not ready. So last night b4 bed she got tired of having a loose tooth, so she went into the bathroom w/ a paper towel and came out a half hour later with a tooth. She looked so cute walking out of there w/ her front top tooth out. Big 'ol silly grin! She was so proud! And NO tears this time! YaY!!!

My oldest son who just turned 8 has lost his four front bottom teeth, but none of the top ones yet. My kids get $1 per tooth from the tooth fairy. There was a girl in my son's kindergarten class who got $20 for her first tooth!!! Talk about inflation!

My ds had his top two teeth pulled when he was 18 months! He hasn't lost any other teeth but they are all in pretty bad shape. He was born with little to no enamel on them. Same with my dd. It hadn't even occurred to me to check and see if there were any loose teeth! We've been so focused on keeping them IN, not thinking about them coming OUT! I'm going to go check them now!
