I have a butt-load of pear preserves that have been given to me by my grandmother. What can I do with it? I don't eat toast or PBJ often. Could I make a pie with it or something?

Thin them with a little white wine or fruit juice and use as a glaze on grilled or roast chicken, pork - also on baked ham.

Make a pancake or waffle syrup - melt 1 cup preserves in a small sauce pan. Add 1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick), continue heating until butter melts.

Make filled cookies.

This would be a good one for it:

Hazelnut Thumbprint Cookies

You can also use a simple sugar cookie dough. Roll it out to 1/4" thin, cut circles or squares. Put 1 tsp preserves in center. Fold dough in half over preserves. Crimp edge with fork. Bake 7-8 mintues at 375*
