Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh out of food help!

ok I am out of starter feed, and cant get more until tomorrow. The closest place to get any is 45 minutes away and they sold out and I had to wait for the shipment which does not come till this afternoon and by then I cant go. What can I give them in the meantime they were just fed but the runner ducks eat A LOT!!! I was not expecting such piggies and did not plan well, I will not make this mistake again but can someone tell me what to do???

I do have layer feed but dont think I should give it to them. I have yogurt, greens and plenty of oat meal and such but is there something specific I should give them and is instant or slow cooked oatmeal best? do i cook the oatmeal first or give it to them as is. how about rice should I cook them some??? I feel like such a bad mommy!

Cornmeal, rice, oatmeal? Cook it up and serve. You could even add some of the layer feed, in moderation.

this has happened to me also. i too used oatmeal and what i could find around the house, crumpled up corn chips and i used to use a coffee bean grinder to grind up fresh popcorn and they went nutty.

Actually, for one day the layer mash wouldn't hurt them a bit.

I'd feed them the layer for a couple days and maybe supplement with anything high in protein like the boiled egg.
