I live and work in the Tampa Bay area. I aspire to have my own duck farm, one day. In the mean time, my office abuts about 2 acres of wetland. I spend my break time observing and documenting the local feathered residents which include a large flock of muscovies.
We had 4-5 clutches this year. The last was hatched in October. These guys (mother top right) were from a late Summer clutch, pictured here at about 4 months. I'm a real sucker for baby ducks and chicks but I think muscovies a prettiest at this stage, when they've got their first plumes and they are just starting to fly.
