I am wanting to get the AI testing done. Anyone know someone in the San Antonio TX area that does this testing. Also ... any idea the cost?

I am not sure just anyone can do AI testing...I think it depends on what you want the test done for.

I have. They do not keep a record of who can do the testing. Trying to find someone in this area that has had it done to find out how they did it.

You can draw your own samples and send them in to be tested:
Avian Influenza – Serum (ELISA)
and
Avian Influenza Matrix (qPCR)

The Texas A&M lab is THE 'people' who do all the testing in Texas.

no. want to ship eggs and birds to AI requirement states

right.. but need to find someone to draw the samples. I have heard a throat swab is needed. trying to locate a vet to pull the tests. I am aware they will be sent in for testing. Would love to know how to do the test myself and send in. would male things much simpler

My point is you may have to have a vet take the samples for the AI testing if you are wanting to use the results for shipping purposes.
We..us regular ole people are not authorized to test for AI in the state of Texas yet.
There are only authorized PT testers here in Texas.

I know. I can do the PT .. but my business has grown to where I want to ship where I need AI. there are others in this area wanting same. I know some in the state with the AI but they are not in this area. so trying to find someone around here that has had it done and knows who to use or trying to find a local vet willing to pull the samples.
