aight...why do chickens flick there heads back and forth....

    At the Kentucky State chicken man received some blue ribbons..... I noticed alot Different size pullets n cockerels flicking there heads back n forth....Mine do not ......WATS up with that.....Thanks any insight would help.....Rick

    I had seen this same thing two years ago at our state fair, I ran out of the chicken section quick! I would guess bugs or the birds were sick, but not 100% sure on this, as I didn't stick around to look too close.

    Sometimes I see my Silke shaking her head around, she also does it when she hears people talking loudly. After shaking her head she starts moving her head back and forth like in a trance.
