So some of the air bubbles are at the big end and some are at the little end of the eggs. Today is day 10. I have them in an egg carton with holes in the bottom and am tilting the whole incubator. Should I make sure that the air bubble is up on those eggs regardless of which end its on? I just want to make sure I am doing things right. I candled again today and I think I am down to 4 but won't remove until day 14 if they are still not good. Thanks everyone!

I want to know too. So this is a bump from a secondary party..

Well I would incubate on their sides. If you're setting them vertically then set them air sac upwards regardless of which end it is. I've had breech eggs hatch (which of course could not internally pip into the air cell) but they simply externally pipped. Its a difficult call as the pointed end is often too narrow for the chicks head andneck therefore making hatching difficult.

Good Luck

I think I would put the ones with air cells at the wrong end on their sides too. You just don't know which end they will pip from so that seems like it would be safest.

Im afriad on this question there will be no definitive answer but overall I think on their sides and see what happen at the pipping stage. Always worth trying
