Hello to all

My 1st post and its probably not a good one! I had two peeps last night but one ended up with a "Air Bubble" around it's neck and died, Now the 2nd one has it? Could it be something like Tracheal Deviation do to Pneumonia? when I picked up the 1st one it did have some fluids come out of his mouth.
My 2nd one is starting to really show signs of stress.

Thank you

Sorry to hear about your hatch problems. Can you give us a little bit more details and maybe some pics? What exactly are you seeing there? Also, what was your temperature and humidity during incubation and lockdown?

hi
i don't have enough experience to tell you what it is but i have read about chicks drowning when the humidity was high throughout the hatch. perhaps you could search that and see if it sounds like what has happened with yours?

I don't have a way to measure humidity yet. Temp was 100-103 in a still air incubate or. The bubble was on the right side of both peeps. As for the hatch this one was the smallest but more active, the one that died had to be helped out of the shell he was so big he was stuck. I was feeling the bubble and it fills fluid like but, as I did the peep looked as if he was swallowing???? I have some medical experience but nothing covering chickens.

Well so far the peep is doing OK. I'm eye dropper feeding now that he is 4 1/2 days old (he seems weak). As for the bubble it seem to go away! I'm feeding him a hard boiled yolk and medicated food dissolved in water. Anyone tell me something better for him I'd be very thankful.

Here is a photo of the bubble not the best photo sorry about that

P.S. Also I have a ? about his mom.... Her comb is as black as her feathers any idea what she might be, I have never seen one like that!
