So I’ve searched here and learned a lot about temps, humidity, rotating eggs, candling, etc. However, I didn’t really see how to know the best position to put the egg in to hatch at lockdown? Do I need to know where the air cell is? How do I do that?

Any and all advice welcome! ❤️

For lockdown, all you have to do is lay the eggs on their side, and the chicks will position themselves for pipping. The air If the eggs have any air cell problems, some people will put them in induvial cartons pointy side down for lockdown.

This is what the air cell should look like during lockdown.

How would I know if there was an air cell problem?
