If I decide to repeat with my own eggs, I'll have to separate and rotate the girls, and trim Edward's bum feathers! The last hatch I did I got eggs from my sister's flock. She has somewhere around 100 birds. Out of the almost 3 dozen, I think 13 were clears. I called her and told her at least one of her hens weren't getting the love she thought they were. lol
on the ones in lockdown!!![]()
LOL. I have a four month old NN roo that has been trying to mate for weeks now...lol The girl's aren't laying yet, but he's determined to get the practice in. I'm hoping by teh time they start laying he'll know what he's doing....lolIf I decide to repeat with my own eggs, I'll have to separate and rotate the girls, and trim Edward's bum feathers!

That's great!! And he's way up there in that air cell!! lmao He's just going to come out of the top of the egg!!
Don't be. He looks great too. Generally that's where you see them pip a good share of the time. I'm assuming that your last air cell line is for day 18. Remember they grow a bit bigger between day 18 and 20/21 so your air cell would be a bit bigger than your last line.
