Air cell is gone! I'm thinking that means it's going to hatch, right?

This morning I candled my egg,(this is my last time candling it) and I was surprised to find the air cell completely gone... the embryo is where the air cell normally should be and it was moving alot... Is it pipping? is it tying to hatch? or is this a bad thing?

It's a great thing!!! It's probably close to hatching, so stop candling already and set it back in the incubator with the big end up just a little bit. What day is it on? They usually break the air cell and start breathing at about day 18.

Keep us posted and, of course, post pics!!!

Cool! That means you've got an egg full of chick and it's twitching around getting ready to hatch.

Good luck,

I would leave it alone so it can keep some humidity, or it will die in the shell. Keep the incubator closed and the humidity up. Good Luck.

How long should it be before I should start worrying?

Well, you're going to worry no matter what, but once they break the air sac it can be several more days before they hatch.

Good luck with your hatch!!!

Make sure to post pics!!!

Alright thank you! I'll be sure to keep the humidity up~! I'm so excited.

Update! First crack/external pip was made! I'm so excited!! I wonder how much longer until the little guy will get out!
