Cayuga laying white eggs?

So, I believe that my 24 week old Cayuga just started laying, but her eggs are white!
I thought that Cayugas started out by laying black/dark grey eggs that lightened throughout the laying season.
She is just hatchery quality, so maybe that has something to do with it?
Has this happened with anyone else?

So, the Cayuga is definitely laying white eggs. I'm a *little* disappointed, since I was kinda hoping to get some black/grey eggs, but oh well. I'm just glad that she's healthy and laying consistently, even if the eggs don't look how I was expecting.

Did u find out why egg wasnt black? My ducks just laid 3 off color eggs but they are not black.

Are your ducks Cayugas?
The general consensus as to why my duck lays white eggs is that she's from a line that wasn't bred for egg color, or, since she's from a hatchery, she could have some other breed mixed in.
