Air cell?

maybe you need a better candler.
what I do, is I get a blanket, and a standard flashlight, and is sit crosslegged on the floor with the blanket draped over me like a tent (a thick blanket, though, not one that light can pass through. Then, I set the egg pn the flashlight, turn it on, and cup my hands around the flashlight and egg so that the light passes directly through the egg, and nowhere else. It also helps if its a night. it works like a charm!
Keep looking! the air pocket should be on the dull end of the egg

So I calibrated my thermometer by using the 1/2 cup salt and 1/4 cup of water in a plastic bag for 8+ hours and used a bowl the first time and a coffee cup the next try. Both ended up with 78%- 74% This is accurate right? I am really surprised that this little cheap hygrometer I have is that close to being correct

That's actually really good and you won't even need to + or - anything... Just figure out what range you need to have the bator at in different staged of incubation and try to be right in the middle.. 1 or 2% won't make much of a difference if any if it's not perfect!!!
