Thanks Carolyn! That gives me some hope!

The latest is I checked the temp using the method posted on here recently - a lump of clay with a medical thermometer stuck into it (ingenious!) and got 98.2!! I'm hoping that just puts me behind a little bit -- looks like the chickies are developing ok.

Keep the bator closed no matter what untill you have 8 dry fuzzy butts !!!

Because I had the concern about the air cells being too small I've been keeping the humidity a little on the low side. It's been 62-63% the last 2 days & I haven't opened the incubator & am not planning to. Should I be worried about getting more moisture in there?

Your Hum should be fine. I have heard of a pip on the small end. IM assuming you have them laying on their side ?

I put mine in egg carton to hatch with the large end up so I have never had that happen. You really can't do anything but let this hatch happen naturally. IM sure it will be great !

Here she is - my first baby!!

I'm in love!

The small end pip seems to be progressing well, thank goodness!

Very sweet !
