Air fresheners?

Hi all, just got my first trio of baby ducklings and I am over the moon! Just was worried because since they are now in the house instead of the basement, where I originally planned, I’m worried about my air wick warmers harming the little girls. Are ducks as sensitive to them as other types of birds? I’m not using aerosols but we have a plug-in across the room (open concept house). I’d like to keep them plugged in because with three dogs and three cats the house can smell a little....em.....farmy lol

Birds are sensitive to chemicals, I myself wouldn't use them in an enclosed area.

Good idea! This specific plug in says “essential oils formula” but I doubt there are any quality ones in there lol

Essential oils are AWESOME!! the birds love them and so will you! they're calming for new birds, and natural so they are great to use. lavender, I definetley recommend.

This is the kind but I don’t have the box any longer and can’t find a full ingredients list online. Since it still has “fragrance” mixed in I’ll just move it to the other room to be safe. I’d hate to harm the little ones over something so trivial.

Great to know! I used to use lavender to help the foster pups, so I’ll have to replenish my stash!
