This morning I came out to see one of my chics (black sex-link) laying on its side not moving and opening its mouth slowly. It looked like she was gasping for air. I picked her up to find that she was bloated up around the back of her head and the neck. It was making the skin tight. I took a needle and made a little hole and air came out. The little chick jumped up and started chirping and all was good. Before that she could not stand up and eyes were closed. She has been good all day but a little air built up again so I let it out again. Does anyone know what causes this? Her is a pic of what she looked like this morning. She is running around now.

I have had to do it twice so far and I just checked and looks like it may need it again. If I don't she may choked to death.

Not having a clue what's going on, but you've got nothing to loose. You might try a broad spectrum antibiotic.

Would a hole in the lung do that? Like a deformity or defect? I would keep doing what you are doing but be careful of infection. Good luck. >.< That looks so uncomfortable.
