This chick is about a day old. When I found her under mama hen, she already had a little blood around her nostrils. I’m unsure if the was an injury at birth or she was pecked after? They are in the same coop as our other chickens, but have never had any trouble with them getting picked on. The mamas are usually good at protecting them. Sadly, I found mama and chicks outside of the coop. This one is a couple day younger. It was laying on its side. It has bloody discharge around eyes, nostrils and difficulty walking. It also puts its beak in the air and almost acts like it’s trying to swallow. I just don’t want it to suffer. It is opening its eyes and chirping. Will drink water when I take it to the bowl.

Welcome To BYC

I'm sorry about your chick.

She may have been picked at by Mom or another chicken, hard to know.

I'd try to gently clean the eyes and nostrils with saline. Maybe some saline wetted Qtips will help as well.
Can you tell if her eyes have been damaged? You can put Terramycin eye ointment in and around the eyes or if you don't have that use Original Neosporin.

Hard to do, but if you can, try to look inside the beak, I wonder if she has a little cut inside the beak, this can also cause some blood to come from nostrils at times.

Work on hydration. I'd give her drops of sugar water. If you have any poultry vitamins like Poultry Nutri-Drench, give her 1-2 drops twice a day.
See if you can encourage her to eat. Wet mushy feed may be easy for her to manage.

Keep us posted on how she's doing.
