Luckily I haven't noticed any problems with my girls... yet. I haven't been successful in finding any information about chickens and how to handle days this bad. All research articles are geared towards air quality for warehouse chickens. I'm trying to find info on what to look out for, and whether I should keep them inside the coop, on the really bad days with the air conditioning on, to filter the air... or if perhaps this isn't an issue for birds. Lord knows the roos are crowing just fine and the songbirds seem to be doing just fine too. Likely I'm overreacting since I'm on an inhaler myself having issues, just overly sensitive to it?

Is there a fire in your area?
Not that I'm aware of. I'm in north Louisiana. Just moved here about a month ago, for all I know this is normal here. I looked on Google maps with the fire filter and there's nothing within a few hundred miles, closest one in Texas.

Then I wouldn't worry, If all the other animals are fine, so will yours.
