Hello everyone im needing advice on a air rupture in my sarama frizzle roo when I deflate him within the HR he is ballooned back up it's been about a week since this started I hate having to poke him every hr can I put a stint or hollow needle and tape it so the air don't collect? And will it every get better?

I do not know much about air sac ruptures, but I believe it’ll heal in time. I’m not sure if it should be deflated or not.

Pictures would be helpful. Can you give a little more information? Age, if he was bumped or injured, what size needle, where exactly the air sac leak is located? Is he having trouble breathing? When you deflate it, do you press on the area or site of puncture for a bit? Very large air sac ruptures might be hard to help. Small ones will go away on their own.

He is still inflated I can't poke him any more his breast is bruised from the needle he doesn't seem like it's hurting him or anything so I just stopped deflating him and hope itl take care of itself cause as soon as I deflate with in mins he is blowed back up we don't have a vet here for birds I tried leaving the hollow needle in and taping in place but he drove his self crazy trying to get the the tape off thanks for you're reply
