i posted in the turkey section but didnt get a ton of feedback, i have an egg in the bator and i candled it the other night and saw that the air sac was down at the pointed end of the egg. do i toss this egg or will it correct itself?
thanks

On this last batch I incubated, well over half the eggs had the airsac on the wrong end when I candled on day 7. I put them all in egg cartons, proper side up, and put the cartons in the incubater (just tipped the whole incubator side to side rather than turning the individual eggs). By day 14, they had all corrected themselves. So far, I've hatched 12/18 and there is another one in there chirping away in its egg right now.

oh good! ok, well mine are in an auto turner... should i leave it in that or?

I just had a chick hatch that pipped the pointy end and never into the air sac. I don't think its suppose to be able to do that an live, but I guess sometime the air sac isn't the most important factor in hatching eggs.
