Day 18 and I have I still have 31 eggs and about to lock down. when I candled them I have one egg with the egg sack in the down position??? should I turn it over so the air sack is on top?????

They are in the incubator and I will be moving the turner out and putting them in egg cartons this evening

I had one egg that I accidently put in upside down cuz it had two big ends. The air sac ended up being on bottom. About day 14 I noticed and switched it so it was on top. The chick hatched fine and he is now my favorite rooster.

Maybe that gives you some hope?

Your situation is kind of different. I don't know what to tell you. I'm new at this myself.

I hope someone with more experience comes to help you!

I did that with one in the bator right now, had a smaller end so the breeder marked that side and because it was so fresh it had a small air cell and the shell is blue so I didn't even see it. After a week I candled and realized I had it air sac down. I just put it on its side for a few hours then put the air sac up, I didn't want to just flip it

Hatched one this weekend that was upside down until lockdown. The two ends looked the same size and the person I got the eggs from understandably labeled the wrong end. Turned it over in the egg crate for lockdown. I was concerned but the chick hatched and is doing fine.

I'm so glad to hear from all of you. I turned it last night before lock down. cross your fingers for my and my babies.
