I have been candling for a bit now and we are on days 13 and 12 and one of our brown Large eggs which is suppose to be fertile is possibly NOT. There is an air sack, but I cannot tell if there are veins in the egg. It is not real dark but it is somewhat porous.

Do Non-Fertile eggs have air sacks?

By day 12 and 13 it should be very obvious whether there is a chick or not.....even if it's a Marans or Welsummer egg.

brown eggs can be hard to candle unless you have an extremely strong egg candler, just leave it in the incubator and see what happens just in case your just missing the embryo, one egg doesnt take up that much room.
