I am sorry if this has been answered. Also sorry if in the wrong forum.
I am in Alabama I am wanting to start selling mature birds (chickens, turkeys, ducks, and quail) at a local flea market. I am not good at reading into laws or really even trying to find the laws. If someone could please help by answering my questions. I ask these questions for a reason. I am getting many different answers from locals.
The birds I will sell will not be hatched by me. The birds will come from a farm that is NPIP. I will only sell mature birds.
Is there any permit I need to sell live mature poultry in public in Alabama?
Is there any permit I need for non-fertile eggs to sell in public in Alabama?
Are there laws on the amount of chickens I am allowed to put in a crate and sell?
Do the chickens need to be off the ground or can they have ground contact while selling?
