My friend, with the petting zoo, is in the market for some Polish.  You can bring him when you come to pick up your Silver Campine pullets.  They are about ready.  I have several that I have culled as potential breeders but they will work well for your boy and you might could get some nice birds out of them if you hatch their eggs.

Oh that would be great! I would love for him to find a nice home where his little crest can grow back. He had such a pretty crest when I thought he was girl. Then more feathers started growing in and they must be getting pecked off. Luckily he doesn't seem to be hurt by it, but I don't want to risk it. What about the weekend of the Alabama vs. Texas A&M game? I believe it's the 17th. I could bring him to you on that Friday and pick up my pullets on Sunday afternoon? Would you be available that weekend? My buddy has a booth by the stadium and I help him run it, so Saturday, I'll be busy. Not sure of the game time yet, but I might could even get them Saturday night.

I agree with Wisher, BexB, I don't think you have very many chickens at all! You can't count the roosters and only those chickens that lay!

If you don't order 12, toss something fun in there for me?


I'm amazed they're still hatching, running toward the end of the season, no? Do you have to order within a certain time frame? Could you wait til spring? Getting 12 in spring may make way more sense.

Yeah they have quite a few different kinds of chickens and other birds! I get the first pick of the extras babies hatched, hopefully I'll get what I want! If I end up only getting ten, do you really want a random girl chick? :-D I'm an enabler, I KNOW! I was encouraging my chicken friend to get a couple, lol! I don't have order now, but I just want to go ahead and get them, so they'll be laying by the spring! The other girls I got in that same batch won't be laying till the end of November......hopefully....

Yeah they have quite a few different kinds of chickens and other birds! I get the first pick of the extras babies hatched, hopefully I'll get what I want! If I end up only getting ten, do you really want a random girl chick? :-D I'm an enabler, I KNOW! I was encouraging my chicken friend to get a couple, lol! I don't have order now, but I just want to go ahead and get them, so they'll be laying by the spring! Hey jr this is JR also but I spell it out to be different = Jayare

I have pet quality Silkies and many other types of chickens but i'm only hatching out the Silkies right now because they are all in a tractor and I got 3 broodys in there so the other Silkies keep adding their eggs to the nests they are setting on. I have gotten a few whites but most of them are blacks and blues but I'm keeping the Blues because I don't have any adult blues. I have 4 blacks that I would part with so far and more are hatching every few days.

I am up here in Florence in the NW corner of the state. I am so far out here in the country we don't even have Internet this far out so I'm not online much. I have to take my laptop 5 miles up the road to the gas station to use their free wifi but sometimes I use my phone wifi hotspot for short periods of time.

Well, if you aren't going get 12, you can fill up the difference with EEs for me! (if they have to stick packing peanuts in, see if they can make those EEs too

Lol! I sure will! And if not, I'd be willing to sell you a couple of my 15 week olds that will start laying at the end of November. I just realized that I have 7 girls, two that are laying now, and with the ones I'll be getting today, that's a lot of hens! Plus I'm going to be getting a couple of pullets from Wisher.

I think it's supposed to be today or tomorrow, I got it marked on the calendar at home but they keep kicking those eggs out so I don't think any of them will hatch.
