My breed was custom made at centurion hatchery here in Alabama. If you go to their website and click products you can read about what birds made mine. They bred the bovans brown with the saggita and then bred that with the bovans white. So I ended up with a white bird that lays brown eggs (Lg-Xl Lg) lol I HIGHLY recommend breeding those three to get that end result it's an awesome friendly breed that is very heat hardy and they lay eggs 6-7 times a week so you end up with a great bird for that. The only downside is they stop laying at about first frost or once the day temp stays at about 35 and night gets to about 30. So I wouldn't expect eggs past Halloween but once March comes and it stays pretty warm they lay every day.

What's the benefit over a white rock?

Well I was approved my appeal. It was a simple mistake. Someone inverted some numbers, not sure who, me,the store, or the government. But anywho I am getting a pin so next time will be simple. Now I can sleep better, knowing I'm not out committing crimes that I can't remember.lol.
Whoo Whoo!

I want chicks. Get them ready for next year's laying.

I want some Easter eggers.. olive eggers.. Ameraucanas.. cream legbars. Whatever gives me some different colored eggs (blue, green, olive) and hopefully birds that aren't black (I like to be able to tell my birds apart).

Wonder if I'm too late in the year to try.
