ALABAMA!!

I would like to buy a splash and partridge silkie hens. I would like for them to be breeder quality. If anyone has any or knows of any please let me know. Thanks.

Ah also, I really need to sell two of my silkie roos. If anyone is interested please let me know. I just have WAY too many of them and they are getting aggresive with each other. Thanks.

Everyone, there is a birdshow this weekend.

Alabama Bantam Club is showing on Saturday at 9am in Clanton, AL. If you guys google Alabama Bantam Club I'm sure you will find it.

Hennyhandler-since they are bantam club I'm sure they will have show silkies.

It's not very far from where I live. However, I have to do a demo for an event this weekend to raise money for Shelby County Humane Society so it's a no go for me too.

Hi all!

I'm new - I'm in Birmingham. I've been lurking for a while.

Hennyhandler, I'm almost have what you need, but not quite, but I thought I would post it anyway. I have a partridge showgirl hen (with bowtie) and an exquisite partridge roo (not bearded) (that I really thought would be a hen - but I'm pretty sure s/he crowed this morning and s/he has some pretty nice wattles). I also have a paint hen (bearded) and a paint roo (I think he's bearded too). These were obtained from a breeder and hatched and raised by me - all born around June 21. The paints are a bit skittish, but the partridges are just lovely. I'm very seriously thinking of rehoming these guys thanks to egg math and my newfound love of Pyncheon bantams!!! But, they are some of my first babies, so I wanted to keep them together and re-home them to someone who I know will take special care of them.

Oh and my paint hen is recovering from an injury. A possum got past my dog patrol and grabbed her wing - this happened during all that rain we got with Isaac so I guess about 2 or so weeks ago. She has been eating OK all along and the swelling has gone down and her wing is hanging and working normally but she's a tiny bit underweight and a lot spoiled right now. My dog patrol doesn't work well in the rain apparently!

If anyone is interested, I'll post images.

That would have been wonderful to know a couple weeks ago when I asked if anyone knew anything about the Clanton Show, and could have gotten off from work. As is, guess I won't make it.
