from your neighbor in Bradford. What breed of chickens do you have?
Helloo and thanks! I have a small flock of 6 bantams right now - 1 silver Phoenix hen, and 5 silkies (1 roo).
I've got an order coming from Cackle Hatchery next week though, and two of my hens are broody & sitting on 12 eggs, so my flock is about to expand
I have 3 EE hens and 1 Roo 2 Pure Ameraucana hens and 1 Roo. Want to expand my BBS Ameraucanas. Will probably have to order eggs. It doesn't seem that anyone in the state has them.
Ohh I do love the blue-green egg layers! I wish I had more space so that I could keep some of those too!! I'll let you know though if I run across anyone nearby who has them
I'm a newbie from Stapleton...just outside of Bay Minette in South AL. Got 18 (1-3 week old) chicks of asst. breeeds and having a blast. So far mine are regular egg layers but saw a Golden Polish at the State Fair and know I am going to have one eventually....the Polish is what set off the chicken desire...but had to justify eggs as a reason to get chickens in the first place to dear hubby!
I joined up a few days ago. I'm in Calhoun county. Currently chickenless, but hoping that I'll be getting my first day-old chicks in the near future while the local feed store is still carrying them.
I live in Piedmont. What breeds are you looking for? I have Buckeyes, Barnevelders, Light Sussex, Welsummers, BBS Bantam Cochin Frizzles, White Silkies, BBS Silkies chicks. I also have some well started birds in Black Orpington, Wheaton Marans, Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, and Barnevelders.
