ALABAMA!!

Yup, had some snow here too. Kids got out a little early, think they're going in 2 hours late tomorrow.. The amount of accidents mentioned is crazy! I've seen some folks drive today.. I just don't know what it is. The moment they see snow they drive worse than usual..

I have some silkie hatching eggs for sale from my White pen and Blue/Splash pen. 6 eggs is $10 and 12 eggs are $20. Some of the parents have hatched out from some well-known silkie breeders on here. They are very nice. Many are vaulted and all have five toes. If you are interested just let me know. Thanks.
They can be shipped if necessary as well.

Can any one tell me what to do i have 9 hens and one rooster and they r picking at 2 of my hens! What do i need to do for them to stop[
My best success has been to watch closely for the most egregious offenders, and isolate them in a separate cage/coop/jail/whatever for 2 to 3 days, then reintroduce them to the flock. Shakes up the pecking order a little. However mine only roost together at night, they free range during the day.

Hey everyone! Just joined BYC and from Alabaster, south of Birmingham. Anyone near me?

I actually went to UA for 7 years Wisher. Are you in Gordo? And I have two Peking ducks one male, one female (Sir Quacksalot and Day-Z respectively) and two roosters. The roosters were supposed to be Dominikers but I think they are actually Barred Rocks. In any case, they are really handsome. We had 8 chickens, but due to our ongoing coyote problem, we just have the two now. I'm looking to add to the flock though. I also want to try my hand at geese and guineas. And a couple of more ducks wouldn't hurt my feelings either. lol

Buhl is about half way between Northport and Gordo, just west of Coker. I have not ventured into waterfowl.....................yet.

Haha. It's quite fun actually. I enjoy the ducks because they have big personalities. And yeah, I know where Buhl is actually. What all do you have Wisher?
