ALABAMA!!

I filed on the 17th I think, but they said the IRS wouldn't start processing 'til the 30th. My fiance is scheduled to get his tomorrow.

Did you use Where's my refund? It's at https://sa2.www4.irs.gov/irfof/lang/en/irfofgetstatus.jsp

I used to owe most of the time.. I can highly recommend having babies :lau

Thank you! I did use it but so far it just says processing... I have 4 tax deductions, er, daughters and we are done with babies of the human variety. ;) I agree that it does make a tremendous difference in the amount of taxes you owe.

What's up Alabama chicken peeps..

I am overrun with Marans now. LOL. I started off with Silkies but have since shifted my focus to Marans. I saw the posts on the Clay Co/Millerville Auction but I don't have any cages to put them in to sell. Basically I'm trying to sell all my extra cockerels and I'm tired of advertising on Craigslist and Facebook.

Any other ideas?
Check with your local TSC and Co-op. Our local TSC is having an animal swap to buy, sell, or trade this Saturday. Also put flyers up there as well. It would be worth the try.

Have you been to either of the auctions in wedowee or goodwater? You don't need actual cages. Some wire fashioned together with j-clamps will work just fine. You will get the best price for your birds there, though between the two, we like Goodwater. I was sadly disappointed in the other.
Also, we have sold at Ruth on Wednesday mornings before. Expect closer to $3 to $5 for roos at the flea market.
Last, I would love a few Marans! Don't suppose you plan on hatching off some chicklets this spring, do ya? I'm awfully close and I would definitely be interested!

I am sure that the price for roosters varies regionally. I sold about 20 roosters at a flea market north of Cullman last fall. I got up to $15 at the start of the day. By the end of the day I sold all I had left for $5 ea.
