The egg is white. The lighting in the picture makes it appear different. It's not pink or purple.

I haven't posted in forever...so many new faces! Looking forward to getting back in synch. We lost all of our serama flock to a raccoon and a neighbor's dog killed my pet cochins so we were chickenless for a while. Of course, that didn't last and after a big windfall this week, we are up to 30!! Getting a new coop built, and planning to free range in an acre pasture. We now have lavender and buff Orps, cochins, Americauna/EEs, OEGB and a Dominique sharing our farm (near Lake Guntersville State Park) with the donkeys, horse, goats, cat, dog and us. :) :frow

Hi y'all.. I'm in Decatur. Just wondering if anyone near me raises either Australorps or RIR's? Looking for about 14 hens/pullets and a rooster.
Thanks!

I'm so in love with my chicks, sometimes I think I may need an intervention! There was a hawk flying around today so I have been out here all day "cleaning" making more places for the chicks to hide, hanging shiny things from the trees, put a radio outside. This bunch is gona be difficult to eat, they have followed me all day watching and investigating everything.I must stay focused,
