ALABAMA!!

He sounds just wonderful. Don't forget to get him neutered so he doesn't take to wandering or change once he gets a little older. That was another problem with our fullblooded pyr-- when she reached sexual maturity at 13 months, she decided she didn't have to take the crap that one of our smaller dogs had dealt her and he was too stupid (male pride lol) to back down. She was over 100 pounds at that point, and he was maybe 25 on a good day. I wish we had spayed her at 6 months. Live and learn....

He is only 7 months old and is STILL a puppy and will be for probably another year. He likes to chew and run and jump same as any pup but he is so sweet and listens extremely well for the breed. He is very helpful and understands his role already with the other animals. He barks at night (we have a big bad coyote population up here on Sand Mtn) Keeps the cats away from the little chickens. Lays out in the pasture with the chickens. He likes to visit the horses and cows too. I've had more trouble with him wanting to play with the cats than anything. He is not trying to be mean or hurt them he is just trying to play and he is too big and they are too little for him to wallow around on. He has never offered to do anything but watch the chickens. He has always been our front porch puppy and the chickens have just been a part of the usual things here at his home. The folks we bought him from has free range chickens, and they have pigs, goats, miniature cattle, so he was born on a farm with all those things as a normal. So when we got him as a pup his mom had already explained to him that this is what we do etc. and these are our animals to watch over.

My parents have 2 Anatolian/Pyrenees dogs that watch over their goats and horses and chickens. This summer they killed three coyotes that were after the baby goats. They're about 125 pounds each and very protective of their animals.

Do they ever have puppies? I'm not setup quite yet but would like to think about a LGD to add in late spring AFTER gosling season.

sounds great! Thank you

Check this out! I was denied purchase of a rifle!! The government will screw with us everywhere! I was arested when I was 20, that was 24 yrs ago! It was not a felony. And I have bought several guns, from licensed dealers, with no problem . So turns out that because I was denied this purchase they can seize every gun I own.I have the paper work to start an appeal, I had to go to get fingerprinted, I ask the lady cop to check if I was wanted, in case I been committing crimes in my sleep. She got a good laugh from my situation. It's craziness! I was getting the rifle as a gift for my hubby, it was going to be a surprise. He been wanting it but its too expensive, so i put it on layaway.
