How long have you been raiseing chickens? What kinds?

I have been around chickens all of my life but I have just started trying to get started with the Jersey Giants in the past year. I have a mixed flock of Buff Orpingtons, Barred Rocks and Easter Eggers.

Well, my daughter and I went to the Central Chicken Auction in Central, Alabama on Friday night. It was our first time - I LOVED IT. It was so much fun. We came home with 4 barred rocks, two jersey giants, one sussex and a really nice "bitty box". All for $31. The bitty box is the size of a casket with two compartments.

Our new total is 11 birds. Five more to go before I reach my limit of 16.

I need your help. Anyone in the Cleveland/Locust Fork area!!!!!!

I have a friend (who is not a chicken person).... but someone bought her a chicken and brought it to her.

She needs to get rid of it this weekend!!! Please help me with this!!!

It is a hen.... not sure... I have pics and can forward it to you.

Cleveland/locust fork is 35 miles north of b'ham. The hen is a broiler type.
