Ginger, i'm near Andalusia. DK i would love to have had more guineas, I really would like to have some purple ones but i'm not doing the incubator thing now. At this point, if I found some keets I wonder how the other two would take to them? I'm really likeing the guineas I have but they are still skittish. i'm hoping by the time i let them free they will get a bit better. I plan on letting them out of the chicken pen when they get full grown as i want them to free range. They also seem to pick a bit on the chickens. Not too bad but they know they are bigger than them and will often try to take away the chicken's bugs and treats if they can. i've seen them push the chickens out of the way of the feed too but not to the point that the chickens don't get to eat.

Y'all, I've got the pic of the week -- and I'm very excited about it. Abigail Frizzy-Pants is named after my 3 year old daughter. She is my sweetest hen.
I just had to share my excitement with some people who might not think I've completely lost my mind over chickens.

Robert

SlowMoneyFarm, do you have any for sale?

Of which breed? Most of my stock is pretty young still - working on getting separate pens but Doms and RIR are growing well and will be hatching some this summer. I just have trios of Ancona and Seabrights (and Anconas are mid Feb birds so not laying yet). Australorps have hens laying but cockerel (I hope) in this batch of babies coming with the Buckeyes.
