ALABAMA!!

I have a Silver Laced Cochin roo I'm trying to rehome if anyone is interested. He was hatched 10/29/11. I'd like him to go to a home where he won't be dinner if that is possible. I live near Huntsville.

Also, I saw on the news where the Chicken and Egg Festival will be having a chicken show for the first time. You'll have a chance to make connections with breeders.

Thanks,
Lisa

Oohhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want!!!!! But I can't have....

I can only have one rooster and I already have one.... :(

If I could have more I'd take him! Heck if I could have just roosters I'd take them all!! I love roosters :)

Hello from Arab Alabama! I'm new to this forum but not to chickens. Started a flock about 6 years ago from Lacon Flea market. PLanning on dipping my feet into incubating.I have it all set up and ready to go, just gotta find some eggs. Found a man that is suppose to have BCM eggs this week. Also looking for some EE eggs. We expanded our coop this weekend and I'm excited to get started. We only have one rooster and he seems to be a dud because we have have plenty of broody hens over the years but have never had a hatch, F ound this forum while searching for incubating instructions and have already gotten hooked on it, I cant stop reading!

Much to her dismay, lol. I'm in the process of looking for her some other girldfirends to gossip with in the nest and to distract the boys. I think I have a friend who wants the smaller of the roos so that should work itself out as well.

So, does anybody in the Clay/Calhoun/Randolf county areas have a couple of extra RIR hens of roughly laying age they would part with? My one poor girl needs some company, and someone else for the roo to give "the look" to, lol

Please come and join us for Mahonri's Easter hatch! We are setting on St Patrick's day (next Saturday at noon.) It is hugh fun and really helpful for us first time hatchers. It has lots of contests and some wonderful prizes! There are only three of us (out of over 200 total) from Alabama so far and I would love to see you all there! (Please, and tell them I coaxed you, there's a contest for that, too!)

I do not have eggs. You may be able to find someone on the hatching eggs for sale forum or someone from Alabama will see this post and respond.
Good luck & have fun!
