One of my boys did the same thing to my mom last spring, but with a baby bird. And my cats are indoor only, all our windows were closed, so its still a mystery how that one happened!

I've been woken up with visions of cat n mouse in my bed. Worst one was the time I got new carpet in bedroom and cat made the mouse gush blood. Why? Why does something so nasty always have to happen? Same as when you get new shoes...scuffs or step into something immediately. Nice newness can't last but a mere couple of hours.
