Alaska Chicken Lover's Soup for the Cold!!

How about a nice, big Sexlink Roo?

I have a cochin roo already, but here in a month or so, I have to seperate out breeds.
Cochins and halfers on one side, and RIRs on the other.
My goal is to keep a cochin line for broodies and and RIR line for production.

Sexlinks are good for production... Rocky just doesn't fit into my future breeding plans, and he's too nice to eat...lol

Hmmm...let me think about that.
We will be driving right by your place on Monday.
I'll have to come up with a turkey house asap, cause they are on the second half of the coop.
Hen was picking on the chickens something awful!

ETA: Got a pic of him, just for fun?

Oh that doesn't sound like fun in the winter!!

He's not pettable friendly, but he's not mean either. Once you pick him up he's content enough. Puts on a good show tho

Just talked to Dh. Said to hold off.
Its probably going to be best for us to wait till warmer weather, so we can get the turkeys a better area.
I had tried putting them with the goats last week, but their fence is much shorter, and it took the hen all of half a minute to hop over.
Such fun! Making farm changes in winter is not my first choice when it comes to favorite ways to spend my time

ETA: He is a beauty though!

Good!
We have fit the final puzzle together for my health issues, and energy levels and brain clarity are through the roof!
Adrenal fatigue is such a bugger to heal!
Still on the road to recovery, but I feel fantastic!

That's awesome! I think I've stabilized my dose of synthroid and I seem to be ok. I am not over tired most of the time, except when I don't get a good night's sleep, maybe 1-2x a week.

Are you taking that stuff you told me about that's online?

The desiccated thyroid? Yes. I take one on the morning.
But I just added in Progesterone cream for the second two weeks of cycle and IsoCort, for adrenal recovery.
I have to be careful with the IsoCort.
I only need half the rec, dosage, and I have to take the second dose by 11am, or I will not sleep.
Trying to retrain my cortisol rise and fall. Lowest time is 9 am on the money, and it should be about 12 hours later!
