Alaska Chicken Lover's Soup for the Cold!!

Hello! We picked up our chicks at the post office in Fairbanks 2 weeks ago and, sadly, lost nearly 1/2 within the first day- a few were even DOA. The second group is arriving tomorrow morning and we are hoping for a better survival rate. We've had chicks and turkeys before and didn't have any problems. I'm not sure if they were out in the cold at the airport for an extended period or what happened. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Yay more Alaska people!
I'm up here in Fairbanks and will hopefully start raising BLRW and partridge silkies this summer.

I am looking into maybe starting up a group that meets up on a bi monthly basis to talk flock kinda like a club I guess.

Oh and
If anyone has an incubator they aren't using I would adore renting it from you :) for a month. Would be happy to pay for shipping of you aren't in my direct area.
