There has been a horrible rash of flagging going on in the farm/garden section of the Craigslist-Alaska section... SOMETHING is going on, where just about every listing is flagged off. Now, my understanding is that you can only flag one ad once, and that it takes 3 people to flag an ad for it to be tagged for removal. That being said, there are many posts in that section ranting about the flag-happy people. It is quite humorous; in fact, it has become so funny that it has become a favorite pasttime of mine to read the rantings in the f/g section.
This will certainly be gone before long, so I actually cut and paste it into a word document so I could laugh at it whenever I want. I particularly like the one about my tractor being sexy...

Good afternoon, my fellow non-farming farmers! Once again, we have a flagger who has some confusing ideas about farms. So let's run down the list one more time, shall we?
1) CL postings under "Farm and Garden" are for FARMS, which are indeed businesses, but not in the generic sense. Farms are a specific type of business, called...FARMS. They are not businesses or services. Again, farms are...FARMS. There are no categories in the business/service section that are pertinent to farms. Farm and garden IS the section that FARMS are supposed to be posting to. Farming is a specific type of business pertaining to livestock and the wares they produce. I'm not sure how to break that one fact down any further.
2) I have yet to see the flagger who keeps doggedly repeating that we aggies should take our posts to the businesses and services section of CL answer the ONE question we continue to ask in response. I will ask it again: Where? Which services category is appropriate for FARM produce and FARM animals? Here are our choices:
beauty (in the eye of the beholder? They say that manure is good for your skin. Saw it on Oprah)
computer (Ideas anyone?)
creative (I think the flaggers who are flagging our FARM and garden ads are very creative. Maybe they should be posting here?)
erotic (Tractors ALWAYS go here, I know you think my tractor's sexy! I kinda like yours too...)
event (definition: Getting your FARM ad posted on CL FARM & garden)
financial (Because we KNOW all you business owners posing as farmers are getting richer than thieves selling all this stuff on F&G)
legal (Post here if you need to be educated as to the CL rules by someone who has never even been to the Alaska State Fair, let alone touched a living farm animal or visited an ALASKA farm. Heck, they think that horses are pets. Anyone sleep with their horse? How about take it for a ride in your car? No? What about holding it in your lap while you scratch it's belly and it licks you all over? Does it chase a ball for you? Man, your horse must be stupid. )
lessons (if you are feeling rejected by F&G, post here. It's kinda like going to the ad help forum to figure out why you are getting flagged. You will be "taught" why you are stupid enough to think your FARM product/animal should belong in FARM & garden.)
automotive (tractors and farm trucks go here. Everyone knows that either one tops out around 12 miles an hour and aren't allowed on public highways, but post it anyway)
household (Poultry and cows, please post here. Every house should have an egg and butter machine right next to the fridge. It's the latest greatest appliance trend.)
labor/move (Horses post here, because those animals are definitely working carting YOUR butts around)
skill'd trade (my raw milk for your manicure? Bessie could REALLY use one...)
real estate (manure postings go here as well as saddles. You know, butt size again)
sm biz ads (I think it's a typo: should read "sm biz eggs". Eggers, please post here)
therapeutic (hay definitely goes here. All that reposting is better than exercise for releasing frustration)
travel/vac (any remaining farm ads. We all know you LOVE getting up at 6am to feed those animals, especially when it's 5 below)
write/ed/tr8 (they say that pigs are smarter than humans...)
Flaggers, your insistence that farmers leave F&G for one of the above categories is beyond inappropriate. F&G is OUR category, and until the gods that be in Craigslist create a new and improved farm and garden category in the services section, we are staying put here, and we will continue to flag the flaggers!
Love and peace to all, even the confused flaggers amongst us! Hang in there AK Aggies!"
I'm hanging!!!
