I had read it helps restore the good bacteria in her system when using the plan yogurt with live cultures. And to feed soft foods to help digestion. I will switch to wet crumbles tomorrow. No to the grit?

I’ll get a poop pic in the morning, the orange poop was once tonight (of course on my lap). The rest has been watery, white with green little bits of poop.

If she is eating just crumbles she does not need grit.

Add the grit after she's better. Think of it like a clogged sink - you wouldn't want to drop grit into an already clogged sink. The grit works in the gizzard to break down food (think of it like the garbage disposal). Crumbles and pellets are formulated to be used without grit.

Until everything is moving correctly, the grit won't make it to a place where it will do anything useful for the present predicament.

I do worry about adding anything sugary- because if it sits there in her crop and turns into a yeast problem - that sugar feeds the yeast and lets it go hog wild. There are probiotics you can add to water that don't have the sugar content -- plain yogurt has around 12 grams of sugar per 6oz.

Why are you feeding yogurt? if she were mine I would be feeding her chick crumbles soaked in water and maybe some eggs as a treat, that's it.

Wow I love your knowledge @casportpony..but I don't know about albon in sour crop ..so many people experienced sour crop even about orange poop u r right my rooster experienced cocci with dark orange poop like blood mix in it ..I use Sulfadiazine oral that time
