I'm new here, and I have 6 stealth chicks in a pen in my basement. They're about 5 weeks old now. I let them out in my backyard of my townhome every evening. We got them as a "gift" at Easter, with the intention of giving them to a friend's farm when the time came. Well, now i am so attached to them, and have been reading about backyard chickens, and i am determined to keep them; at least 2-3 of them.
I know chickens are illegal in Alexandria City, Alexandria County (...200 feet from property line...), and i want to take up the cause of changing the ordinance. I have read about other people trying in Alexandria, Arlington County. How's that cause going, and who can i join forces with in Alexandria County?
