Alfala Pellets????

LOL!!! Mouser chicken!!!! Your chickens will eat those pellets just fine, I give mine rabbit pellets for a treat and they are loaded with alfalfa, I also use the baled alfalfa too, chickens love it all...and mice too it appears!!!

Alfalfa pellets make great fertilizer for the garden (as if you need more when you have chickens

) and you can make alfalfa tea with it, which is plant food on steroids, kind of like compost tea. Roses love it!

Kitsune, you would never be able to say THAT chicken was vegetarian fed! That is so hilarious!!!

Well I guess I need to add some of my bunny pellets (they get Orchard Grass and Timothy Hay pellets-no additives just the pressed hay) to the chickens food. I just always thought they'd be too big for them! I have been grind ing the pellets down this whole time!

I feed the cubes to my sheep and goat as a treat. I put them in my pocket and the sheep and goat just come running to get there treat. Well know that I have chickens They just come up and grab them and run. then they just peck and peck at them. One will grab it and run they really seem to like them and peck away at them. So I would just give them a few to play with and eat. So when I got home with the pellets I was not sure if they could eat them!! Little did I know they could eat a whole mouse!

. But I do have to say my hens do not seem to impressed with the pellets.

The sheep and goat will knock me down and try to get them out of my pockets.

I feed the Alfalfa pellets to My horses when there Hay gets low and im waiting on the Hay man. If your chicks need more Protein i feed the animals Calf manna specially if they are preg.
its not for everyday tho
