Algae...

So I am guessing I am not the only one with this issue but how do you remedy it. Seems I clean out my 5 gallon waterer's and within 3 days algae is growing in them. Anyone have recommendations on how to stop it from forming?

One tablespoon apple cider vinegar per gal of water . Supposed to be good as a preventative for cocci infections as well .
