Alive and well in Ky!

Welcome to BYC!
Your coop is BEAUTIFUL!!
I’m assuming that you played it smart,(unlike the most of us!), and built your coop and run BEFORE you got your chickens?
Well….. I was actually raising the chicks inside WHILE I was building the coop. Kind of like my incentive to get my butt going on it. I was just surprised how fast they grew! So I was forced to put it into overdrive. Thank you for the compliment. Grand daughter helped paint it (and herself) which was a lot of fun. She collects the eggs when she visits and absolutely loves the girls. And Billy Bob too. (She named the rooster, but she said the girls look too much alike, so no names there!)

I kinda did that too!
I mean, we had the basic coop, but no run, and I knew that until we actually had the chicks, no one would be motivated to get them out!!🤣🤣😉

Do you have any pictures of your flock? They sound beautiful!!

Thank you. Them some cute chicks ya got there! The wife especially laughed! Maybe you could offer a little help while I have your attention. The tutorial on getting the app for this site is hard to follow. Can’t I just go to the App Store?
I could be mistaken about the app for BYC being troublesome for a lot of folks, but I thought many chose to get there via their browser. I'm on a PC, but on iPad, I get here via Safari, and it's fine.

That’s what I’m experiencing. I do have Safari and that’s how I’ve been doing it, so I’ll just stay the course. Thank you!

I will try and get some this afternoon, but this time of year the shadows are starting to win out as there is a roof on the coop, but I’ll see how they turn out. I have a few of the girls that are really brave and will probably pose for the camera. Ha ha. My neighbor let’s his chickens free range a few hours a day, but has lost 5 out of the 10 in just a short time, so I just can’t let them out as much as I’d love to. Seems like everything likes the taste of chickens!

Hey Chickengirl16, off work and fed and watered the girls(and Billy Bob). He actually did the posing, girls just wanted the treats! Girls said hi!
