I have 40 girls at the moment but i started with only 7! its crazy how i love chickens these days!! my main chicken predators are Raccoons skunks and hawk's i have lost about 20 chickens total and hope not to lose any more i have had chickens since 2009 and i love them to this day! i also have 20 other animals such as rabbits frogs turtles crabs hamsters guinea pigs and dogs! i care for all of my animals by my self! i have hatched many eggs raised many chicks and cleaned a lot of poop! 
but the eggs are sooo worth it i pasture raise my girls and i sell eggs! i hope to start a farm of my own some day! i have many Easter egger's and wyndotte's and some breeds i mixed up so i have a bunch of un purebred chickens i don't sell fertile eggs though! since i want to increase my folk to around 100! i had two roosters but one recently got killed by a hawk! so now i am left with my Easter egger rooster King victor who's name was queen Victoria at a young age but had to be changed! i also have lavender and buff orphingtons i have sex links australorps white and bard rocks i have leghorns golden comments and what not! i don't have any really rare breeds!
