I know this isnt a chicken question...but im depserate.

I have a barn cat.....unfixed. She appeared by our front door and was acting strange. She would not get up or move, and look extermemly tired. We examind her and found her to be super bitey and aggressive towards us. She is usually such a friendly cat and we were confused by this behaviour. She would bite our hands whenver we touched her stomach and we noticed it looked a bit bigger than normal. She never bites and likes belly rubs...I have some pictures and a video of her stomach. Cat people please help ME!!

Pregnant cats aren't hard to verify.

If she's letting you give her tummy rubs, then you'll be able to feel among her abdominal area. And if she's pregnant, you will feel it swollen up pretty thick. You'll notice also that it will hang down a bit lower off the spine than the abdomen would if she weren't pregnant. This can be both wide also and not only hanging down. It may feel more swollen later on, and less like thin loose tissue as it becomes enlarged.

Some people say you can feel the kittens in there. But I don't think someone should actually be trying to do that, because people are often not fully aware of damage or pain we can do or cause. People will quote pinking and enlarging of the nipples but forget that the hair recedes also a bit.

At some point also her nipples and mammary tissues will become enlarged. You'll also see the hair follicles around the nipples recede a bit more notice-able than how it would look on an un-pregnant cat.

She should also have increased appetite than other cats. (Does it seem like some cats don't like to be seen eating though, I wonder thinking about it?)

However, with the above mentioned details, if its earlier in the pregnancy these might not show as much. These may develop and not be noticeable right away if its early in the game.

Behavioral changes can also manifest; looking for more shelter behaviors, hiding more, etc.

Un spayed cat being pregnant most likely. However, I have experience with stray cat large abdominal and acting tired- she was taken to the vet and she had dropsy(fluid in her abdomen because of liver disease). She was euthanized. The other thing she might of had one kitten. Stray cats don't produce obvious nipple development when they are hungry or only have one kitten. Been there done that.
Your cat is out of sorts, pregnant isn't the only thing that could be happening, she could be hiding a kitten or she could be sick.

That’s super sad....do you remember what the cat looked like? (Goopy eyes, hanging stomach, etc.)

Wow!! Thank you for helping!! You wrote so much info and it helps a lot...I will try to take better pictures in the morning for you! Thank you for all the advice.

She was never really a vocal cat..but recently if you make a tsk tsk sound, she’ll meow for a while
Does she want to rub on your legs with her tail straight up?

If her belly looks bloated, an easy and relatively cheap first step is having a fecal run to check for worms. They easily pick up parasites by eating wildlife and it can make them not feel good.
