all chicks dying

Just got my order from my pet chicken - not impressed. They sent to the wrong address, and maybe that is part of the reason that they are all in rough shape. I ordered eight. 1 dead in the box, 2 dying, others weak and not eating. Anyone have miracle quick fixes? So far I have tried to encourage them to drink, and I have some doing it on their own, but no eating. Thanks, this is a bummer! Local feed store chicks from now on for me!

If they only drink, then give them milk, at least it'll give them some energy. Make sure they are warm and get plenty of sleep. Poor chicks!!!

Have to disagree with the above poster. Milk will give them stomach upset as they're lactose intolerant.

If all they do is drink the best you can do is whisk an egg, and then add hot water to the whisked egg to a broth consistency and syringe feed after cooling. If they're unable to take scrambled eggs this is the best bet.

A lot of people give milk and yogurt to their chickens with no problem. Milk intolerance is a human problem.
