all flock feed

hi

i have a flock of 12 11 hens and 1 rooster
5 hens are laying i dont want the rooster to have layer feed
but i can not find all flock at tsc all they have is flock raiser can i give that to my chickens they are 4 to5 mouths old if i cant give them that where can i find all flock

Flock raiser is good, it usually has higher protein, anyway. You can give the hens oyster shell when they start to lay.

Naturally. I dug up some dirt yesterday for a dust bath, filling a tractor tire. I put some DE on top, and they were like "Eew! White powdery stuff! It might be clean! Eww!"

Yea, All Flock is a Nutrena Naturewise product, 18% Protein.
Flock Raiser is the Purina equivalent, but with 20% Protein.
You can feed either one to your chickens, with oyster shell on the side.
Laying hens will eat oyster shell when needed. I use a layers feed with oyster shell offered in a separate container. The last 5# bag lasted 11 months for 5 hens. GC

I plan to feed my flock Flock Raiser year round with free choice oyster shell. They will eat the oyster shell when they need it. Trust that your hens will do what they need to do!

Mine weren't sure about the oyster shell either when I first put it in but once one started eating it the others started to follow. They are good at teaching each other!
